Russ Matthews is an exceptionally reliable top-class professional with outstanding talent and ability to entertain making him one of the most highly rated and sought-after artistes available.

Along with his excellent voice, guitar-work and personality, the key to his success is a complete entertainment package consisting of a blend of music from the 50’s and 60’s through the memorable times of the 70’s and 80’s to present day. This is coupled with a touch of humour, and performed with a professionalism that gives him the impeccable reputation he deserves and his razor-sharp wit and comical impersonations make him a cut above the rest.

With a wealth of experience stemming back to the late 70’s and early 80’s when he played in top bands on the northern clubs circuit he has put together a one-man show of excellent quality for any occasion in which he can call upon a repertoire of over 400 songs and he works equally at ease as a solo performer or as part of a cabaret.

Russ also writes his own compositions, some of which have been recorded and he can perform them live on request.

Backing himself on guitar and the latest digital sound technology Russ is a truly superb down-to-earth entertainer and colourful character who gets re-booked time and again and he has previously been employed in an entertainment management capacity, with successful summer seasons at reputable holiday resorts.

CD and publicity are available on request.

On Air sign

Russ was recently interviewed and performed 'Live and Unplugged' on a WCRfm's 'The Fusion' show with Clint Denyer. The show was such a resounding success that he has been asked back on air later in the year.
